Two years... it's been two years since the first day I came to TARUC as a freshman, Time does fly pass swiftly don't you think? Once you blink your eyes, there you go, you're getting older or should I say, closer to death? When it comes to college life, friends are the first thing that come to my mind. Throughout these two years, I've met and befriended different people from all over Malaysia. Some I see them as my brothers or sisters, some I'd rather just avoid or forget. Yes, there has been a lot of ups and downs, something that can't be avoided even when you try to blind yourself. My friend, Halvinish, once told me, "if people surrounding you is happy, you'll be happy too", which is true, considering how much happier I am now after I switched course from Public Relations to Broadcasting.
"Huh, Why?" you ask.
Here's the catch, whenever I'm doing something long term, regardless of working or studying, I always have to look for happiness and positive aura first. Obviously, I couldn't find any of these in Public Relations, hence, I left.
I noticed the students in Broadcasting are far more active and talented in one way or another. For example, a classmate of mine, Felix, is a professional beat boxer who rocked the lecture hall twice with his marvellous skills, some are gifted with beautiful vocal while some have the potential to be a great actor. It seems like I can always find something new on each individual.
I'm here to say, I've no regret at all regarding my decision on changing course, but of course I do miss my friends from Public Relations at times. I hope they can understand that I can't split myself in two and hangout with both sides :D
